About Us
The Obsidian Sportsman and Defense Club of Greater Louisville
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the 2nd amendment rights for people of color and the self-preservation of our community through the encouragement of armed protection, the teaching of defensive awareness and the promotion of community building.
Organization
Our organization advocates the use of firearms for self-defense, but also recognizes the importance of working together to begin correcting social injustice as a chapter of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA).
Mission Statement
The mission of the Obsidian Sportsman and Defense Club is the empowerment of the people of color by providing a foundation for its members to:
- Begin their own journey down the path of defensive awareness and responsible gun ownership.
- Help institute change of American's image of gun owners of color.
- Provide a network of education and comradery for all firearm owners of color and community members who wish to learn about responsible gun ownership and defensive awareness.
